Why don’t we sing more often, when we want to? ~ Bobby McFerrin

The startlingly original voice of Bobby McFerrin – there’s nothing else like it in the world. The thing I love about this interview is the territory he covers on the subject of improvisation. Let go and simply expressing in the moment without attachment to outcomes – that’s life at its BEST, it’s freedom.

I didn’t know how devout a Christian McFerrin is. You can really see and hear a passion exuding through him as he describes his faith, discussing the musicality in various religions, chants and his love of psalms.

“Bobby McFerrin’s greatest gift to his audience may be changing them from spectators into celebrants and transforming a concert hall into a playground, a village center, a joyous space.” – Los Angeles Times

A man who has devoted much of his energy toward music education; a man who engages his live audiences in improvisational singing; a man who is certainly worth the time and attention to truly listen to. :)
